Telling stories and sharing memories through the art of photography feels like a dream. Every time I get the chance to shoot a session with a beautiful couple or family, I feel honored to help them tell the story of their relationship; the collection of tiny moments that led to me clicking the shutter on my camera to capture something truly special.
Anyone love the smell of spring flowers and the warmth of the sun on your face in May? Or the dreaminess of an almost-summer day at golden hour? If you could see me, I am definitely raising my hand, which is why I truly loved the family session I had with the Schinkmans.
One May evening in Elora, ON, we walked to an open field with wild grass and a few distant pine-tree’s lining the river. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a sucker for a field of wild grass. As dusk approached, the light danced off the trees, setting the perfect mood for family portraits. I remember having a blast with the Schinkmans as they joked and laughed through sunset!
A good field of grass, good sense of humor, fun company, plus the cute photos I took of Karlee and her boyfriend . . . now that’s a recipe for a 10/10 family session!
A special thanks to the Schinkman family for letting me capture a small part of your family’s story.
