A few months ago, I had the pleasure of shooting this snowy mountainside Wedding in Canmore Alberta with Douglas and Rain and they were such a dream to work with! I absolutely loved how small and intimate their day was and it made for the most perfect snowy winter session. Alberta is one of my absolute favourite province’s to shoot in as I just find so much beauty in the snowy winter mountains, and Douglas and Rain definitely made this session special! Rain’s lace wedding dress was absolutely stunning and I loved their choice of dried florals! The darker earthy toned flowers against the snowy white backdrop really made them pop!

Since their wedding was so small and intimate, Douglas and Rain decided to get out of their wedding attire and into some more comfy winter clothes for some additional wedding photos and I loved that they did this! It’s so important to remember that your wedding day is your day and whatever your vision is of how you would like your day to go should be exactly what happens. We grabbed our skates and found a beautiful pond with the evergreen trees and snow covered mountains in the background and had a super intimate and candid moment. 

As they day went on and we got chatting more, we actually realized that we grew up in the same small town! It’s so crazy how connected we were and I love that as we were getting to know each other more, our lives intertwined more than we thought!
